Culver’s Week Of Warmth 2006Nearly $150,000 was raised throughout the state of Wisconsin during Culver's “Week Of Warmth"
Culver’s Frozen Custard and ButterBurgers® restaurants throughout the state of Wisconsin combined forces with energy assistance programs to raise nearly $150,000 during Culver’s inaugural Week of Warmth November 13 - 19, 2006. Culver’s 112 individually owned and
operated restaurants raised the money through offering each guest an
opportunity to participate in a “Give a Buck, Get a Buck” certificate
program where their donation of one dollar went directly to the Keep
Wisconsin Warm Fund, and the guest was also given a dollar-off certificate
on their next Culver’s Value Basket or dinner. All
money raised during the weeklong event will directly benefit families
in the community/county where it was raised. In addition, guests
were able to give personal donations in canisters available at each
location. “At this time of year there are many people who fret over how they are going to pay for all the gifts they want to purchase for their loved ones over the holiday season, while thousands of families in Wisconsin face a far more serious situation of meeting the basic necessities of life,” said Lea Culver, co-founder of Culver’s. “Through the generosity of our guests and franchisees, we hope this money not only helps those in need, but also reminds everyone that the season of giving is not only about material gifts, but assisting your neighbor any way possible.” Culver’s also donated $10,000 to the fund-raising effort. Thank you to all who contributed to make the first Culver's Week of Warmth "Give a Buck, Get a Buck" event a success! 2005 Culver's Day of Warmth
